The game is not compatible with nVidia cards 6xxx and superior because the sprites are note correctly 4:3 dimensioned. A thread on the bug on the JoWood forum. To download the Mod/Fix look for 'Industry Giant 2 Mod Fix' on the net. Mod Fix 1.00 and 1.10 are 400 MB each (all graphics files have been resized), Mod Fix 1.20 is 2.5 MB only. Industry Giant II isnt really very good. Average I suppose, but if you have a Geforce 6 or 7 series, forget about it. Its incompatible with the newer Nvidia cards, and the developers say its 'impossible' to make a patch, which to me just sounds like they cant be bothered. Jowood tech support is probably the worst there is. Apply the official Industry Giant 2: 1980-2020 v2.1 Patch. Replace the original IG2.EXE & KEYLIBDLL.DLL files with the ones from the File Archive.

How to install and play Industry Giant 2 + Addon:
1.install game including videos

2.install addon.
It searches for your installation for ages? Simply copy the files from the addon disc to game folder (you can overwrite enginetest.exe).
Launch setup.exe, wait for it to find your installed game and install the addon.

3. Install patches. You probably have a graphics card older than the GeForce 6000 generation, so you need the famous “nvidia patch”, which includes patch v2.1.
Patch v2.2 only fixed CD reading issues and you do not need it, because the “nvidia patch” makes the game playable without CD. It was mentioned in the official forums, so I assume you are not acting against the will of the creators by using an unofficial patch to play a game you paid money for, which does not work otherwise. (you can not get past the “enginetest.exe” graphics test without the “nvidia patch”)

The file name is “IG2 Addon.Gold – ATI.Nvidia Mod.exe” and it includes the nvidia patch v1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3(no-cd). Select your installation folder and install the patch, launch the game, enter your serial, done!
